1 Peter 1:8-9
“You have never seen Jesus, and you don't see him now. But still you love him and have faith in him, and no words can tell how glad and happy you are to be saved.” CEV
There is a certain woman with a strong faith in the Lord! She lives a life of gladness for all the wonderful things He has allowed her to experience. She knew ALL her life He protected her from dangers seen and unseen.
She knew Jesus loved her so much that he gave her a life-long marriage. What a gift!
She’s glad every day that the Lord allowed her to be a mother. A mother who taught, nurtured, contributed, sacrificed and gave, as only real mothers are able.
She’s glad for the Lord giving her a career doing something she really loved for more than 50 years. He gave her a life full of purpose and she’s glad about it!
She’s looked back over her life and realized the Lord never left her. Through it all, highs, lows, He's always had His hand on her. He sustained her health and strength to see her children grow and have children of their own. Grandchildren! Then great-grands! She thinks about them everyday. What a BLESSING! She’s had opportunity to share in their lives too, encouraging them and telling them about the Jesus she knew!
As the Lord moves her through her senior years, she knows she’s not able to get around like she used to, not able to drive to the places she used to frequent. Her appetite has changed and her dress size has too! Her hair sprouts gray and she has a few aches and pains. Her eyes are not as sharp and her feet sometimes are not able to hold her up.
Although she sometimes doesn’t recall every detail of her life, one thing she does know for sure.
For all her life, the Lord loved her, saved her, guided her, provided for her, made a way for her, and protected her and still does today.
The Lord knitted for her an awesome tapestry of family and friends giving her a wonderful life and she is GLAD about it!
