Super Faith!

I recently watched a movie called BOLT. It was titled after a dog, whose only desire in life was to protect, Penny, his “person”.

They had been through all kinds of trouble, sometimes barely escaping, but surviving only because of Bolt’s supernatural powers. He could leap over trains, run faster than a speeding bullet, move cars with a head butt, shoot heat waves from his eyes and he had a “SUPER BARK”! Bolt protected Penny with his super powers after her dad had been “kidnapped.”

In actuality, Penny was a child actress and had found Bolt at an animal rescue when he was a puppy.

Penny and Bolt both starred in a high-action TV series.

The plot was, everybody knew about the TV show EXCEPT Bolt! He actually thought he could do all those supernatural things!

Well, in one chase scene, Penny and Bolt were running, she on a scooter and Bolt, using super warp speed, by her side. All of a sudden the “enemy” was coming full steam ahead of them! There were trucks, jeeps, cars, motorcycles, helicopters…You name it, it was closing in on them! The enemy was fanning out in front of them about to close in on every side.

They both stopped. Penny looked at Bolt and said, “SPEAK”. The camera panned in on one of Bolt’s paws, as he intentionally strategically placed it down firmly on the ground. The camera then showed one of his hind paws, shifting and being planted firmly as well. Bolt then bowed his head, growled and came straight up in to his “SUPER BARK”.

Well, the ground started to shake, the pavement peeled back with gale forced winds, debris and dust blew forward like a land hurricane moving in the direction of the enemy. Trucks, buses, helicopters, EVERYTHING was being tossed and spun around like toothpicks! When the dust cleared, the “enemy” was defeated!

Now, this was a Walt Disney movie and I never expected to get a spiritual revelation from it! But the Lord is SO faithful and allows me to see Him in everything!

Several days after I saw the movie I was met with some real DRAMA in my own personal life. I wondered what should be done. I remembered the movie and realized that God’s people have a “SUPER BARK” just like Bolt!

In fact, when facing the enemy, Bolt knew EXACTLY what to do! He obeyed the command of his master to “speak”. He then placed one paw and then another firmly on the ground to secure his stance. He bowed, he growled and then he let lose something supernatural that stopped the enemy dead in their tracks!

Oh my God!

The Lord showed me we too have something supernatural that will stop the enemy! Bolt had a SUPER BARK. We have SUPER FAITH and during times of dilemma and strife our faith will turn in to a supernatural weapon! All we have to do is “SPEAK”!

Yes indeed!

The Bible says, we believe, therefore we speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). If you want to change your circumstances, you must have faith in two places—in your heart and in your mouth.

Speak those things that are not as though they were! Romans 4:17. Speak to the mountains in your life. Mark 11:23. Speak resurrecting words to a dead situation.

Along with our SUPER FAITH, there is a posture. The scriptures have told us.

…[You] have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place. Psalm 31:8
He stood me on a rock and made my feet steady. Psalm 40:2
You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping. Psalm 18:36

Faith dictates our posture. We have to know that we know that we know and take a stance that way.

For example, when we pray for rain, our SUPER FAITH says it is going to rain and we bring an umbrella, right? We know it will rain so we are changing our posture to expect rain.

That’s what Bolt did. He made steady his posture, he became sure-footed, he dug in. He knew because of his “SUPER BARK” something supernatural was about to happen.

Oh, we serve a SUPERNATURAL God! The faith we have in Him will ALWAYS produce SUPERNATURAL results as we SPEAK and posture ourselves. He will NEVER fail us.

That is our SUPER FAITH!
